Welcome to Resto Haus, Stella, the “Love Bus”! 

The “Love Bus” was named aptly for its usage. It was previously used as a wedding transport bus. The 2 rows of sofa style seating had many a bride and groom sitting in basking in the throws of new marriage. Having been in its previous relationship since 2009 this rare samba is ready to look for a new partner to love them.

If you as the new owner decide to continue tallying up the numbers on weddings attended, or fancy showing it a new way of living and take it roadtripping instead.  The canvas roof (replaced in 2011 along with a roof renovation/re-spray) pulls back for the rear passengers to have a lovely sky view and the other 21 windows mean you won’t miss a moment flying past you on your wild adventures. Made in 1966, the paint code shows she was originally Papyrus blue, the interior appears to be completely original and correct for that colour code.

Sometime between manufacture and the current owners purchase, she has been resprayed in a lovely green and white. This was not done by the current owner who took ownership in 2009 after she was imported and sold to them by a VW dealer in Colchester. At that point she was in the condition and colour she is today.

Stella has been exported to Houston and to Texas in her life before coming to the UK to settle down. She is well travelled! 

Stella has been dry stored and only used in the last 4-5 years for the occasional reason.

It has its original jail bars and interior, safari windows and can carry 6-7 people for maximum comfort.

With plenty of paperwork history supplied you can see that it was well looked after for the duration of ownership.

Full service 5th March 2026 that also included draining out the stale fuel, adjustments required to belts and carb and topping up any liquids.
