A bright and usable crossover Bay Window finished in Brilliant Orange, imported from South Africa and fitted with a strong rebuilt 2000cc engine and updated, practical camper interior.

This 1972 Bay Window is the desirable crossover model, combining the early Bay styling with later mechanical updates. The van was imported into the UK in 2016. South African buses are often prized for their solid bodies thanks to the dry climate, and this example benefits from that background.

Power comes from a fully rebuilt 2000cc engine running twin Weber carburettors, providing strong, reliable performance well suited to modern road use.

Inside, the van features a smart and practical updated camper interior with everything needed for weekends away or longer trips. The layout includes a fridge, sink and double hob, along with a full-width rock and roll bed and a Westfalia pop-top roof complete with hammock fold-out bed above. The cab area also features a full-width bench seat, allowing additional seating when travelling.

Finishing touches include chrome Fuchs-style replica wheels and a JVC stereo, while a leisure battery supports the camper electrics when parked up.

Overall this is a bright, usable Bay Window camper with a strong engine, practical interior and plenty of personality.
