I've been looking forward to this beauty to arrive for a couple years.

Its owned by a very good friend of mine, who imported it from the dry state of Arizona back in 2003. The vast majority of its paint is original factory paint & the fact that the beautiful Mango Green L346/Seagull grey L347 was only produced for about 18 months. Making this bus a rare O/G survivor.

The natural patina is just gorgeous & tells the story of the years this 11 window kombi has been alive. I love the colours around the window sills & look at the mirror arm. Then the paint evolution of the bullet indicator housing, the sort of thing you can't recreate.

The idea for the interior was again to keep it original in appearance, but to make it clean & fresh to enjoy.

All of the original Caramel door cards were retained, whilst the front bench seat has been reupholstered in matching Vinyl. Imagine if we could read the steering wheel and all its tiny cracks & scratches, each is there from something that has happened.

Now to the back. Open the cargo doors, only to be greeted with "Devon" interior? But hang on… this is a US spec LHD bus? Yes that’s right. Originally a Kombi, but the owner bought a beautiful interior, modelled to the fine quality of the early '59 Devon. With its warm oak woodwork, through to its matching mango beige upholstery.

It has original features such as the small cool box and seating for 4 in the back which converts into a double bed. So far I'm loving this bus & then BOOM !! Open the engine lid & you're greeted by a "Chico Performance" 2276cc twin carb monster. It has been a fantastic setup for the current owner, with so much torque. It cruises really well & surprises a few people off of the line. After many years of Volkswagen ownership the owner is moving onto early British sportscars. The Mango is on the market for a quick sale at £30k! Don't delay, as this will go as quick as the bus itself!!
