For sale: 1966 LHD 11-Window Split Screen Campervan – Swedish import
 

The current owners purchased this gorgeous Split Screen in 2005 from a reputable VW dealer that imported it from Sweden. Originally running a 1600 engine, it was fitted with a 2-litre Subaru Legacy engine in 2010 (49524 miles unverified) with a freeway flier gearbox and Empi shifter, this bus has been upgraded to perform as well as it looks. Rolling on banded steel wheels, the brakes have been improved with Type 3 drums on the rear and CSP discs on the front, while the lowered stance gives it real presence on the road.
 

Finished in L87 Pearl White and L512 Velvet Green, recently, it has benefitted from some bodywork carried out by AJ Retros Ltd in Wales. Always garaged, it remains in excellent order throughout. The interior is a bespoke fit-out, complete with green and white curtains and upholstery, fold down table, three-bow roof rack, safari windows, and rear speakers. This is a really nice van that drives as well as it looks.
