Welcome to the sale of our own beautifully restored & totally standard 1978 late bay window panel van.

We had been searching for a while for a stock RHD commercial T2 to advertise the opening of our new café "Bo Jangles". Obviously the large flat sides of a panel van work better than a pick up or double cab.

It had been advertised last year, but the previous owner decided to keep it, he to used it to advertise his storage company. For both owners it was used simply as a mobile billboard rather than actually carrying anything. Then early this year I luckily spotted his new advert & within an hour we had agreed the sale & we collected it the following day.

I drove just as it should 180miles home, through wind & rain without a hic-cup. The bus was purchased some years ago by Malcolm at 181 Classic Motors who bought it to fully restore. Whilst stripping it he was pleasantly surprised at just how solid & straight it was, it certainly had lived a sheltered life & not been abused like so many commercials. He only replaced one outer sill , the sliding door & both dog legs. The front panel had been done previously but very well so Malcolm left it. Having prepped the bus to his high standards, it was painted inside & out in Volkswagen Neptune Blue L50k and Pastel White L90D bumpers, just as it should be. The 1600 twin port engine, was fully rebuilt as was the full braking system. Nothing flash with the wheels & hub caps , just perfect for that understated commercial look.

The interior wasn't ignored either, it had a new headliner & the sides were ply lined & carpeted to protect them. The seats however were so good after a good clean they have remained to retain some authenticity.

I'd love to keep it long term, but for us we rotate our advertising vehicles frequently & something very rare has just arrived so watch this space.

We're looking for £21,500, why not come down to our Volks museum & showroom whilst viewing the bus. Alternatively we can arrange delivery to your door.
