For Sale '85 Artic Support Truck – Ex-Race Team Vehicle-

Displaying just 55,000 miles (believed genuine), this ultra-rare Volkswagen LT Artic we believe was originally commissioned by Cordwallis Volkswagen, built in 1985. It's early life was spent as a support vehicle for the prestigious RS Williams team—renowned for their work with classic Aston Martins—touring the UK alongside two DB4's and serving as a rolling pit stop with its integrated awning.

Purpose-built for motorsport, the vehicle comes equipped with workshop-grade features including built-in tool cabinets, a robust workbench, drawered storage units, a heavy-duty vice, interior lighting, and a vehicle winch (untested). It also retains its original loading ramps and access setup, enabling cars or equipment to be transported with ease.

After its service with RS Williams, it was acquired by Hugh, a private enthusiast who used it to transport his racing TVR to classic car events. The van has been well maintained and presents today as one of the last known road-going examples of its kind in the UK—a true survivor from a specialist era of motorsport logistics.

The exterior features the desirable Mk1 LT styling, including classic round headlights. Power comes from a robust 2400cc petrol engine, and it benefits from a brand-new MOT with no advisories, highlighting its mechanical integrity. The cab remains in exceptional condition, with minimal wear to the original seats supporting the low mileage claim.

Whether you're looking to transport a classic race car, run a unique trackside service vehicle, auto-jumble or have designs to convert this into one of the coolest large-format campers in the country, the potential here is enormous. Vehicles like this simply don’t come to market—let alone in this condition.

Yours for £9,500!

The vehicle is located in our headquarters in North Devon, and viewings are available by appointment only.
