For sale… 1961 RHD Split Screen Crew Cab
A usable, rare, honest rolling project’

Here we have an early High-Hinge split-screen Crew Cab, featuring the exceptionally rare South African dust intake system. Believed to be one of just seven known to exist, it’s a genuinely special example with details you simply don’t see come up very often. Also, it's a right-hand drive edition, so pretty rare.

The truck was restored around 19 years ago and is presented today as a usable, driving project. It’s not being sold as a freshly finished vehicle – rather, an honest, well-sorted base that can be enjoyed as-is while being improved over time. It starts, runs, drives and will be serviced and MOT’d on sale, making it a great candidate for someone who wants to get behind the wheel immediately.

Early High-Hinge Crew Cabs are defined by their distinctive rear suicide door arrangement, a feature unique to these early split-screen models. This example also benefits from Safari front windows and side pop-outs, adding both usability and period-correct character.

The engine was rebuilt at the time of the restoration and is believed to be a 1776cc unit. Mileage is unverified, showing 01799.
