1973 RHD Late Bay Westfalia Continental Campervan

A beautifully honest RHD late Bay Window Westfalia Continental camper, finished in classic green and white and retaining the charm, character and practicality that made these factory campers so beloved.

Finished in the ever-popular green and white colour scheme, this is a classic example of Volkswagen’s iconic factory camper conversion, offering a wonderfully usable and authentic vintage camping experience.

Inside, you’re immediately greeted by a clean, well-kept cab area, and the warm feel of the original Westfalia interior. The camper features the distinctive Westfalia mustard material upholstery throughout, including the buddy-seat, all complemented by the classic checked Westfalia curtains.

The front cab includes a handy buddy box with matching upholstered top, creating additional seating or storage while keeping everything cohesive with the original interior design.

Moving into the main living area, the Westfalia layout provides everything you’d expect from a proper factory camper. There’s a sink unit, original fridge and cooker, along with the swing-arm removable table that makes dining inside both practical and sociable.

The full-length rock and roll bed offers comfortable sleeping space, while the original Westfalia rooftop bed provides additional accommodation above. Overhead storage units in the rear ensure there’s plenty of room for camping essentials, making this a genuinely usable camper for weekends away or longer trips.

The camper also benefits from subtle modern usability upgrades, including multiple charging points in the rear, including 12-volt and USB outlets, allowing phones and devices to be easily powered while travelling or camping.

Mechanically, it runs with the classic 1700cc pancake engine (Odometer reads 92567 unverified) — simple, reliable and perfectly suited to relaxed touring. Externally, the camper sits on its original steel wheels with mud flaps and presents as a very honest and well-cared-for vehicle.

A number of thoughtful extras are included, such as a waterproof roof storage cover, spare wheel cover in the rear and a front cab camping hammock — a great period accessory that adds additional sleeping for little ones, or it can be used as a storage space.

This is a very well-presented, honest Westfalia camper that captures the spirit of classic Volkswagen touring perfectly.
