This van was born in 2004 in Germany and moved to the UK in 2024 to live with its current owners near Leeds. It is a left hand drive, as they were never made as a right hand drive option.
The original sales brochure from VW is included in the folder of paperwork that comes with the vehicle stating all service history and repairs but you might have to be fluent in German (or have a good translator app) if you want to study it in depth. The brochure states “If you like to follow your own instincts and choose your destinations independently, the California Freestyle is the ideal partner” and we could not agree more!
It has all the comforts of a modern camper with a 2.5L TDI engine to power it along very comfortably. It features 2 burner gas stoves, 40 Litre cool box and stainless steel sink. The pop top vanagon roof canvas was replaced by the current owner only recently so it is fresh and ready for new adventures. It even has a genuine VW bike rack!
Finished in the original "Reflexsilber Metallic 8E" (1 of 5 paint options available) It has certainly been well looked after. This includes the interior carpets that have been covered from new and original crockery! Can’t get tidier than that!
It has cruise control and independent suspension all the way round for excellent handling with car-like manoeuvrability to make those long journeys you’ll be making all the more comfortable. And to make them a lot easier it also has the sat-nav unit included.
It has an elevated seating position to ensure you see all the best views on your journeys too!
The pop up roof has gas spring struts to aid with opening up the bunk up top and the two seater rear bench can also be transformed into extra sleeping space. Both front seats swivel for easy access to the rear cabin.
It has a fresh MOT until 17.07.2027 and the previous test shows a pass with no advisories.
