A survivor! Found after being sat in a Railway Arch in London for 30 years and brought back to life.

This 1962 Beetle was saved and given its 2nd wind of life. The owner to do so enjoyed many trips around Europe with her and gave it a new lease of life showing how it should really be enjoying its time on the road and not tucked away where no one can enjoy it! 

The current owner purchased her and continued on giving her a great experience venturing to many “Run to The Sun” events, camping trips and formal events. 

The paint work on the exterior is all original. The single carb engine was reconditioned in 2016 ready to continue its time on the roads. It has been modified slightly with a lowering kit to give it some more responsive handling and extra bonus “cool points”. It sits on some lovely 15” Radar wheels that just tuck into the arches ever so slightly to give the slammed look with the slight rear camber. It has also had some money invested into it in the last few years with a new thermostat, inlet manifold, full exhaust system, condenser, ignition lead kit, clutch and clutch kit. Followed by a new clutch cable, and accelerator cable in 2021.

The interior has been carefully and professionally reupholstered to a lovely blue and white colour scheme that makes it more light and airy inside. A nice original dashboard upfront with your simple interior features. Wooden gear knob and wire storage basket including cupholder continues the 60’s feel. Especially with the classic radio system. 

Built by a local Beetle enthusiast as a sister car to his previous white beetle, the exterior includes a roof rack that adds to the draw of the whole vibe, all red rear lenses, popes nose number plate light, flared exhaust tips, eyebrows on headlights, classic sloped wings and smaller side windows at the rear.

Be prepared to talk to more strangers than ever before as you won’t get far without being asked many questions or being told the stories of Beetles that came before.
